Hasbro/Takara/Other - How many from the Big Two companies, plus "other" releases (be they licensed or unlicensed) Hero/Villain/Minifigure - Each figure based on its official designation, with a separate third column for minicons Molds - Each unique mold from each line and its subsequent redecos/remolds Third party figures added to corresponding official lines. Redecoes showing up in other lines listed in the line the mold originates from. Some mashed together (G1/G2/MW, BW/BM/BWII/BWN), others not (Unicron Trilogy). Lines - Each official line released by Hasbro/Takara. Includes line, numbering (when applicable), exclusive to and who it officially is (for repurposed figures) This may be more or less than official designations for each character due to repurposing. I have an Excel sheet with each of the following tabs to keep track of what I own:Ĭharacters - Each version of a particular character, going alphabetically. Please keep in mind this is just a plugin for DataCrow, I have no control over how DataCrow works, I just thought something like this might come in handy.

    Sample report, I used complete/incomplete as an example. This can be changed to any criteria you want, I just found this combo to work best for me.Īll of the data in the fields are searchable, and can be used to find any phrases you've included such as name, year, special team, part name, faction etc. "Name" is the only required field.Īlong the left items are sorted by year/affiliation/special team (empty = no special team).     I figured since I'm already working on it for myself, I'd make it publicly available when I'm done, and if it's going to be publicly available I thought I'd get other peoples opinions on things to keep track of.Īvailable here: Free Toy Collection Cataloging Software DC is a free program that allows you to make custom modules/plugins depending on what you're trying to catalog. A database/spreadsheet setup isn't going to cut it this time, I took a look around for some "Cataloging Software" and came across Data Crow. I used to keep an extensive database/spreadsheet of my collection, somehow I got out of that habit, but now (since I've downsized) it's feasible to get it going again.
